M2M energy saving strategy in 5G millimeter wave system

Machine to technology has a broad application prospect in the 5G network, but there is bottleneck energy consumption of intelligent devices powered by battery. In this paper, we study energy-saving strategy millimeter-wave system. Firstly, Discontinuous Reception scheme based on Beam Measurement (BM-DRX) proposed avoid unnecessary beamforming. Secondly, modified frame structure and optimized beamforming short time save power consumption. Finally, European Telecommunications Standards Institute data model, used semi-Markov process analyze BM-DRX considering beam misalignment events as Poisson distribution.
